Hey y’all! We are back with another outfit post, my favorite kind of posts! This time, we are going comfy AND girly with 3 ways to style the skirt and t-shirt look! Recently, I’ve come across this super cute tee with its own full face of makeup. I don’t know why I love it so much, probably because it’s my personality on a t-shirt, duck face and all! So pairing this tee in multiple different outfits was not only easy but super fun as well! 

Okay, lets talk about the t-shirt at hand. Usually tees are super easy to throw on with jeans or casual shorts, but when pairing one with a skirt, you have to put in a bit more effort than usual. More effort meaning a simple side or front knot tie or front tuck, but a simple one that makes all the difference in a look!

Jean Skirt! 

So the first style of skirt I chose to pair this t-shirt with was a jean skirt! This is a simple and easy style to go for in warmer weather and I find myself reaching for it a lot when I’m on the go. The denim gives a casual feel to the outfit and is also easy to just grab and go. If you are looking for a bit of a low maintenance fit, then this is the way to go! With this look, you can definitely wear your tee shirt any way you want, untucked tucked all the way in or with a side tie as I’ve chosen to do! There’s really not much of a difference from jeans and a tee to jean skirt and a tee, other than it’s girlier and cute!

Flowing Mini!

Next up is a fun and flirty mini. This skirt look may take a bit more effort to execute, where with a jean skirt you can just slip it on, with one of these skirts you may need to iron and/or prep the skirt. In addition to the material, a skirt like this, that happens to hold a pattern or is a little more busy than regular denim, you’ll have to take into account color and shape, because not everything matches with pattern. That’s where the side tie or front tuck comes in! Giving your t-shirt a different shape than a regular old t-shirt helps to pair it with different items than regular old jeans!

Zesty Midi!

This is by far the hardest look to maneuver, but the most rewarding when it comes to your fashion prowess! With almost any midi skirt you get will give the illusion of an elevated and more put together look, because of it’s length and style. So pairing one of these skirts with a t-shirt is a cool way to de-formalize a look while wearing one! However, this can be difficult, because sometimes the boxy look of a t-shirt can look too casual while paired with a skirt like this. So for this look the tie/tuck move is a MUST. Another great tip to pulling of the casual midi+t-shirt look (that I haven’t done in these pictures, but still whole heartedly stand by) is to play with accessories! Accessories can add some jazz to any kind of look and can take a look that is “missing something” and turn it into a perfect 10 on the fashion-meter.
