The infamous Beverly Hills Hotel! If you’ve ever looked at a travel magazine or scrolled through an instagram feed that encompassed some of Los Angeles’ greatest destinations, this place would have a warm spot at the top of that list. The Beverly Hills Hotel is a staple location in Los Angeles California for the most luxurious of luxury stays as well as providing that iconic California feeling.
Now, the actual “staying” part is a wee bit (some thousands of dollars) out of my price range. But that California feeling, y’all, it was free. And it was REAL!
There is something SO dang “California” about pulling up to the pink and green pastel hotel on the top of a big Los Angeles hill! For starters, you feel like you’ve worked for it, having to maneuver the winding roads of the hills while simultaneous side-eying your GPS. And secondly, it for sure lives up to the hype it is given all across social media, reviews, etc. with its prestige up keeping and polished grounds.
If any of you have ever heard me talk about the Eiffel Tower, (which I have on numerous occasions all across social media because I’m obsessed); the feeling of walking up to the hotel was much like the feeling of seeing the Eiffel Tower fo the first time! A little bit larger then life.
So, I didn’t actually go INTO the hotel, seeing that this weird “budget” thing was standing in my way of actually purchasing any products or services. But y’all, I was just there to sight see anyway! Yes, I said SIGHT SEEING at the Beverly Hills Hotel! And I’m owning it!
It is really popular for Americans to think that we don’t have great places of “architecture” and “history” to visit here in the states, but in my opinion the things that move and inspire you are personally yours and there are so many places in our own country and sometimes even our own backyard that can do that.
Now, I’m not comparing the Beverly Hills Hotel to the dang Colosseum here. I’m just saying that I was plenty moved and inspired here in Los Angeles California, just like I was moved and inspired in Paris France looking up at one of the greatest towers in the world. It is all about perspective and perception and if you come from the perspective that you might like it up in the hills, get ready to fall in love.
Is it really that expensive to stay?
Heck Yes! Prices start at a grand a night in this bad boy!
Is it really pink?
So Pink! I was actually amazed, I thought it had a lot to do with editing online, but it really is a pretty pink hotel.
It looks kind of old and faded, is it?
No! From online photographs I thought it looked a little on the worn side too, when you see it in person it is VIBRANT and BRIGHT!
Are you exaggerating?
Listen. I know sometimes I can be…a lot, but honestly and truly it is a beautiful place to sight see and not far out of the way to stop by during your trip to L.A. I would call it a must see.
